Google has introduced a new 3D modeling program that allows you to sketch floor layouts, room designs, furniture designs or any remodeling project in 3D. This program is called SketchUp. You can download a free trial version here. There are also free tutorials to get you started.

This is the greatest thing ever! At Oxfam Canada, you can buy donkeys, sheep, cows, camels + all sorts of other amazing animals and things for people that need them.
A gift of a goat, a donkey, a chicken or women's training can make all the difference in the life of a family in a developing country. It can provide a source of independent income. And there are no sizes or décor matches to worry about.
I’m all for the donkey, as they can carry large loads over long distances, which really takes the burden off fetching and carrying supplies to and from market. Plus you can strap a harness on them and get them to help with irrigation [they fertilize too!]

Adorable. Good friends of ours, Jen + Chris, recently added a new addition to their home. No, not a new kitchen...even better - Indiana. Indy is a Bernese mountain dog. He is terribly cute, and we cannot wait to meet him!
Jen was telling me the other day about how they created a grass area off their balcony so Indy can have the outdoors. What a great idea! I will post more about the grass area soon.

My dad sent me this link, and I thought it was too great not to share with everyone else. It is a mood analysis test. This is done by simply picking colours you feel at harmony with. I took the test, and well, I found them not to be true, but they are pretty general.
Here are my test results:
You are longing for some love and affection at this time - not that you have been deprived of tender loving care - but there are times when everyone needs to try something new or to go 'somewhere' else to perhaps experience that little extra 'understanding'.
You are a fighter and always on the defensive. You always need to be sure that your position is safe and established. When you finally make a decision you will pursue it to the bitter end in spite of all opposition.
You are a perfectionist in everything that you put your hand to. You are demanding and very exacting in the standards you apply to your choice of colleagues and friends -perhaps you demand too much from people. That perfection you seek in a particular person is illusive - perhaps it does not even exist.
You are feeling trapped by the situation as it stands at this time and what is more, you feel powerless to remedy it. You are stressful, angry and disgruntled. You feel that everything that you try to do to change the situation is thwarted and your hopes and aspirations all seem to be receding into the ever distant future. You have reached the state where you now doubt whether your dreams will ever be achieved and this is not only causing mental stress but heartache. You need to get away from it all - you need to have time to think, to recuperate, to be able to make your own decisions.
You don't like conflict and you endeavour to avoid criticism. You want to do your own thing and to be able to decide what is right for you. You have considerable personable charm - and this is used with considerable effect on those that keep your company.
Take the test yourself at: Colorgenics!
