post secret - new book{s}

Desi {my little sis} introduced me to these books the other day and I really enjoyed them. There are many emotions; from happy thoughts to sad stories.

What is 'Post Secret' one might ask?

Here is the definition from Wikipedia: PostSecret is an ongoing community art project where people mail in their secrets anonymously on one side of a homemade postcard.

For your daily dose of Post Secret, you can check out the blog and also submit your own secrets.

NEW BOOK: BIG IDEAS FOR SMALL SPACES

The spaces featured in this book prove that good things really do come in small packages. Using mirrors to make a space feel larger, de-cluttering and the use of multi-purpose furniture are all tricks used to make your space appear bigger.

I like the chapter on "small wonders" showcasing an amazing wall-mounted workspace that is only seven inches deep but has room for a laptop, iPod + cell phone. Get your copy here.

NEW BOOK: CANDICE OLSON

I recently purchased Candice Olson's new book “Candice Olson On Design: Inspiration And Ideas For Your Home”. Even if you've never seen her TV show Divine Design you will find this book chock full of great photos, descriptions and her complete layout of each room.

You see the before/after pictures, her floor plans and sketches ROCK! It's amazing what she can do. She does not just create "show rooms" she makes the rooms functional for the family.

More details can be found here, where you can also order the book.
